Saints’ 2019 Training Camp Kicks Off a Year After Turnaround Season

March 29th – The Newmarket Saints will officially open the 2019 season with the start of training camp next week.
It’s a very different feeling coming in this year after the team’s surprise run at the end of 2018 that led to a playoff birth.
“2018 was a big bounce back for us. Now we need to build on that momentum," said Saints President and GM, Dan Vertolli. "We want this to be a special place to play and that starts with the guys on the floor. Come ready to compete and we'll give you an opportunity."
Training Camp Dates
The Saints have a busy first week with two tryouts in Newmarket and a pre-season tournament in St. Catharines. Here’s the full details.
Tryout: Tuesday April 2nd 7:30-9PM at Ray Twinney Recreation Complex.
Tryout: Thursday April 4th 7:30-9PM at Ray Twinney Recreation Complex.
Tournament: Saturday April 6th at Thorold Community Arenas.
o Game 1 @ 12PM vs Hamilton
o Game 2 @ 4PM vs St. Catharines
o Game 3 @ 7PM vs Welland
Each tryout costs $10 to attend. Attendance of the games will be coordinated through the coaching staff.
